Delete your Sprout & About account

You can delete your account in the app. If you can’t sign in, you can ask us by email instead.

In the app

  1. Open Sprout & About and tap your picture at the top of the screen to open Settings.
  2. On the Household tab, go to the bottom and tap Delete your account.
  3. Read what is deleted, type Delete, and tap the button. It happens straight away and signs you out.

If you can’t sign in

  1. Email info@sprout-and-about.com from the email address you sign in with.
  2. Say whether you want only your own account deleted, or your whole household.
  3. We reply to confirm it’s you, then delete everything below within one month and email you when it’s done.

What is deleted

Your account:

  • your name, email address and password, held by our sign-in provider Clerk
  • the notification tokens for your devices
  • the sign-in keys that keep your phones signed in to the app
  • the record of which features you used and when
  • feedback you sent us while we’re testing

If you ask for your whole household, or you are the only grown-up left in it, we also delete everything in the household: children’s names, birth dates, allergen records and food records, recipes, the kitchen, the shopping list, plans and portions, babysitters’ and nannies’ details, settings, invitations still waiting, the household’s plan and trial, and every saved earlier version of them.

If other grown-ups stay in the household, the household itself stays with them, because it’s theirs too. Your account and your devices are removed from it.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Our database provider’s backups can hold a copy for up to 7 days before it is gone for good.
  • Cloudflare’s request logs, which record that a request was made but not what was in your household, are kept for up to 7 days.
  • What each AI request cost, with no account or household attached, is kept to track spending.
  • If other grown-ups stay in the household, your answer about keeping the children’s allergies stays with it as the household’s record of consent, for as long as the household exists.

Photos you keep with a recipe or a child are stored only on your own phone and never reach us, so deleting the app or clearing its data removes them.

A plan bought in the App Store or Google Play

Deleting your account doesn’t cancel it, and we can’t cancel it for you. Cancel it first in the App Store or Google Play.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

In the app you can delete recipes, calendar events, shopping list items, what’s in your kitchen, and a child along with their allergen record. For anything else, email info@sprout-and-about.com and we will delete it within one month.
